I began a new Sculptris piece the other day and decided to record all of my daily modeling antics from the sphere to the finished model and so far am about half way done. Its been interesting to go back and look at my model being built in the videos. Pretty happy with how well its going with sculptris but need to keep working with blender as well so i can rigg and animate the model once i have it all done.

  • About:

Self taught artist. I remember sitting around the TV watching ninja turtle videos and pausing them so that my older brother and I could draw what we saw on the screen. It was not long before my imagination started going and I began getting how to draw books from the library of my elementary school to teach myself how to draw better. I loved to draw but being from a military family I was never exposed to a lot of different "practical"  uses of drawing as a means of employment so after graduating high school I went to college to pursue my degree in Design Engineering and put my art on the back burner.

It has been almost 10 years since I have picked up a pencil and put it to pad again, and I am truly glad that I did. I had forgotten just how much I liked to actually be creative and let my imagination flow rather than try to subdue it and stifle my creativity and bore myself to tears. Since being laid off in February of 2010 I have taught myself programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Painter 11, Autodesk Maya and 3Ds Max, Zbrush and most recently began to learn Mudbox. I am having a lot of fun learning these programs and hope to some day be able to use these skills daily in the work place.
